The trip would probably be 2 hours longer (each way) than Nusa Lembongan. I haven't been to Lembongan, but Gili Air was wonderful; probabyl th3e best sunset I've ever seen, cycling around the island is enormous fun and the snorkel boats are alse awesome fun. Saw a few turtles, a sea snake and a large (harmless) white tip reef shark. Gili Air may be more your style - very chilled, good snorkelling/diving and not chock full of idiots on pushbikes who can't cycle worth a damn. 1. ryanstrek. Answer 1 of 10: We (my husband and two children; 15 and 12yrs old) are traveling to Bali in July. We will be visiting Ubud, Sidemen Valley, Pemuteran, and Tabanan. We currently have reservations for 4 nights in Gili Air but I'm beginning to have second I can't believe how uneventful this trip was (considering all the bad reviews i read prior to boarding.) Gili Air to Nusa Penida. 1:30 pm. Checking in was simple. Just showed the reservation, got a lanyard and was told to wait.
